Laura Morrison, Managing Director of Your Telemarketing Ltd, has recently been awarded Gold Employer status in the Armed forces Covenant Employer Recognition 2021. Representing the highest badge of honour, Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Awards are awarded to those that employ and support those who serve, veterans and their families. Only 140 companies nationally won the award in 2021, with 11 coming from East Anglia.
Minister for Defence People and Veterans, Leo Docherty said “I would like to thank all the organisations who have proven their support for the Defence community during such unprecedented and challenging times. The vast range of those recognised this year demonstrates how employing the Armed Forces community makes a truly positive and beneficial impact for all employers, regardless of size, sector or location.”
Laura signed the Armed Forces Covenant in August 2018, cementing her business’s commitment to support our armed forces community, and to recognise the value that service personnel, veterans and military families contribute.
“I am passionate about supporting the whole military community. As a military wife myself, I understand the difficulties faced by wives to gain rewarding employment when their families are regularly relocated. Flexible working, around their families is often important, especially if their partners are posted away.” commented Laura.
The awards ceremony was hosted by the prestigious Honorable Artillery Company in London, the oldest regiment in the British Army, which still maintains an active regiment as a core part of today’s Army Reserve.
